Description/Abstract

This paper discusses the representation of women characters in the novel "I Gave You All I Had" by Zoé Valdés, a contemporary Cuban writer living in the United States. The paper discusses how Valdés presents women in a manner different to the antiquated representations of women in Latin America. The paper also discusses the role and current struggles of women in post-revolutionary Cuba in relation to the novel by Zoé Valdés.
