The years 2014-2019 mark the centennial of World War I, calling us to remember and consider afresh the impact of that world-altering event. The presentations in this panel investigate the psychological impact of the war on soldiers and others at the front, the strategies employed by soldiers to retain their humanity, and the long-term political effects of this first global war.
