The University of North Georgia Honors Program provides talented and motivated students the opportunity to take enriched versions of certain courses. Honors classes, usually limited to 12-18 students, offer a more in-depth study of the course topic and emphasize discussion, analysis, teamwork, independent learning, and an appreciation of the interrelatedness of knowledge, more than lecture, memorization, and quiz taking. The Honors Program fosters maximum intellectual growth and the development of the whole person, thus providing a strong foundation for excellence in undergraduate, graduate, and professional pursuits.
