This work, entirely in Spanish, presents the similarities between the Aztec king Nezahualcoyotl and the Biblical King David in their poems and lives. Particularly, the paper investigates their works in regards to their differing treatments of the concept of god. David presents his ideology of god in a clear and established fashion in his Psalms, while Nezahualcoyotl creates his own concept of an existential being as his own poetic works develop. The poetry of the two reflects on their personal life events and traditional thoughts on death as they relate to their gods.
