How to Submit a Paper

1. Make sure your item is in an acceptable format. We can accept items in the following formats:

    • Microsoft Word (.doc)

    • JPEG, JPEG2000 (.jpg, .jpg2)
    • GIF (.gif)
    • PNG (.png)

    • MPEG (i.e., MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4) (.mp1, .mp2, .mp4)
    • QuickTime - Apple (.mov)

2. Write a description for your item. Please also select keywords. These are words that will help a user locate your item through a search. You should also note the physical medium and format of your item. You will also be asked to choose a type for the item from a drop down menu on the submission page.

3. You may also include rights information for the item being submitted. This can be done in the Rights field on the submission page or by choosing a Creative Commons license from the drop down menu. For more information on Creative Commons licensing, please visit the Creative Commons website. If you have questions about copyright, please contact .

Overview of the Process

After you submit your work, the system administrator will post the item on the exhibit page. If the Rights field is left blank, the system administrator will include an all rights reserved note, with the creator listed as the copyright owner.

Author Review

Authors do not have an opportunity to approve papers they have submitted prior to them becoming publicly available on the site; therefore, please be sure that the paper is ready for public distribution.

How to Revise Your Paper

If you publish this paper or a revised version elsewhere, for example in a journal, please send the citation of the new version to noir@ung.edu. We will be able to inform repository users about the new version.

If you would like to post a revised version of your item on the site, please send the revision, including revisions to the description, format, keywords, type, to noir@ung.edu.

Removal

A paper may be updated or removed from public view by sending a request to the system administrator at noir@ung.edu. However, a citation to the original version of the paper will always remain on the site.
